Spring Round 2

It would be accurate to say that I am solar powered.  I literally feel like sunshine and warm weather charge me up and bring me to life. Dark, rainy, cold weather slows me down and I can feel myself dragging through the day yawning and resorting to caffeine to get to the finish line.  Okay, perhaps some of the yawning could be attributed to the fact that I rarely get a sufficient amount of sleep.  I just don't like to miss anything.  Fun stuff is going on with my friends at all times, and of course there is the late night studying.  Still, the sun is one of my dearest friends.  I nearly worship that warm golden globe.

Today is a perfect example.  It's April 18th, 2013 and its 81 degrees, in NE Ohio!  This must be close to a record high, and I couldn't be happier.  Flowers are starting to bloom and the trees are all bursting to open their leaves.  So, to celebrate the beautiful weather today after class, my friends and I headed to the Metroparks to tan (duh), followed by a FREE meal at the Bach Fest picnic, then a pick-up game of soccer.  Can you say perfect?  The picnic was to kick off Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music’s 81st annual Bach Festival, the oldest running Collegiate Bach Festival in America.   I rest easily tonight with the knowledge that mother nature is honoring the 81st annual BW Bach Fest by matching the temperature, (81), coincidence, I think not.  I will write more about Bach Fest next week after I’ve experienced it, but for now I will fall asleep happy with the satisfaction in the activities I’ve experienced on this gorgeous sunny day in my beloved, Berea Ohio. I will also rest quickly as its now approaching 1:00am and I have to be up at 7:00am. That is, I’ll write next week if the sun continues to shine, otherwise my depleted internal solar battery may not allow me the energy to type another blog…..
