Recently I passed out of my ALEKS course which is a refresher algebra course. After two months of working countless hours attempting to pass out of ALEKS, I was able to pass out last week with a 76% (75% needed to pass). Now that I have passed the refresher course, I am now able to move forward with my math credits and begin taking the courses I want to take.
I also will become a mentor to a Berea High School student through the Realize Your Potential program. This is very exciting because I will be able to give back to others and I can assist someone who is similar to me. Even though I'm excited about this new journey, I am very nervous as well. What if I lead him down the wrong road or what if we really don't like each other? I guess I will just have to let things play out. Nevertheless, I cannot wait to begin this new chapter in my life.
