Happening Upon Some Australian History

I was lounging watching tv with my roommates last night when my phone started vibrating. It was Becky, also from BW, saying when she got her computer fixed in the afternoon all of her assignment was deleted and she had just found this out. This was around 8:30pm. I tell her I’m so sorry etc and if I can help let me know.

Well I’m falling a little before midnight and my phone vibrates again. Becky had typed her paper over and then saved it and a bunch of letters had gotten deleted and there were blank spaces in their spot. The words could not be fixed. I told her to come on over so she could use mine. I ended up just typing it our for her in my kitchen while she made brownies.

Her essay was about Indigenous Australia, the Aboriginal People and the early Europeans. I had no idea what harsh things had been done to this group of people native to Australia. Atrocities like moving them to camps, working for extremely cheap labor and being excluded from the constitution. It is a very sad and today Australian's have National Sorry Day on May 26th apologizing for all the hardship this group of people has gone through.
