  5. Biography

I'm a very determined student and motivated athlete, with a personality that is outgoing yet calm. I find it important to appreciate the little things in life. Soccer is my true passion, and athletics are a very important part of my daily life. I enjoy staying active whether it be snowboarding or wakeboarding, or even walking through the woods or outside. I'm majoring in Broadcasting/Mass Communications here at BW with the intent to work as a sports analyst on a major television network, thus academics are also very important to me. I'm very easy going and I put high value on family and friendship.

Questions and answers

Why did you choose to attend Baldwin-Wallace?

I wanted to continue playing soccer and running track but I wanted to go somewhere I also felt very comfortable and the school’s setting/ overall feel gave me a welcome feeling that helped greatly in making the final decision to come here.

What is your favorite thing about BW?

I'm really influenced everyday by the positive feeling of simply being on campus. As a second year student athlete I have made more friends and when I walk through the Quad people never fail to say "hi" or ask how I'm doing. That accompanied by the new additions to campus that have given it a face lift have really created a great experience here at BW.

What has BW helped you learn about yourself?

It has helped me learn that I am my own self motivator. The teachers, and the coaches alike on campus have relied on me much more to do work on my own, and be more respobsible as a student athlete, while making it evident I have to motivate myself to keep everything organized and on track, therefore I've become a much better person in character with much more determination and motivation towards multiple facets of my time here.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

Be yourself, and don't be afraid to stand out. Peer pressure, the urge to make new friends, and your elders are all influences that will impact you in college but the best way to handle all of those things is to stay true to the person you've become so far, and embrace change in your own way.
