If you don’t like the weather in Cleveland, stay awhile and it will change!  Located 20 minutes off the shores of Lake Erie, Berea has a seasonal climate with warm sunny summers and cold snowy winters.  Lake Erie keeps the summer months slightly cooler and winters slightly warmer, but it also creates seasonal lake effect snow.  The fall months, Septembe

r through November, offer a wonderful climate for running, biking and hiking in the Metroparks, or studying in the outdoor quads.  The change in color of the foliage provides a scenic backdrop and a picturesque setting for Greater Cleveland.  Springtime runs from March through May, and can be warm, cold, sunny or cloudy depending on the day.

Visitors should check the local forecast prior to their visit. Lighter clothing is generally appropriate in summer, but warm coats, gloves, and boots are practical in winter.
