Employment Outlook

Health care is the largest industry in the United States. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, it will generate more than three million new jobs by 2016.  Northeast Ohio is a nationally-recognized center for the health care industry, employing more than 230,000 professionals in major medical research facilities like the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, hospitals and other provider organizations as well as biotechnology companies.

Academic Preparation

Baldwin Wallace University offers many programs that prepare students to become a part of this dynamic industry. The University's liberal arts core teaches students to master the skills of communication, critical thinking and problem solving necessary to succeed in a continually-changing environment. Specialized courses provide the knowledge required for professional success and/or graduate or professional education.

BW's location in the suburbs of Cleveland offers students many opportunities for experiences and internships with medical facilities, schools, professional sports teams and biotech firms. Students also have ample opportunity to conduct professional-level research through Faculty/Student Collaboration and gain experience that distinguishes resumes and grad school applications.
