Caroline Kappel

Caroline Kappel is a dancer, choreographer, collaborator, dance historian and theoretician. She holds a BA degree in Sociology from Saint Mary’s College, Indiana, an MFA degree in Dance Performance and Choreography from Mills College, California, and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Arts from Ohio University. Caroline has taught ballet, jazz, tap, creative, and modern dance for various age groups, as well as university level lecture courses in the fine arts, dance history and theory, and dance technique. Caroline has performed nationally and internationally with various dance companies, including the international arts festival Project Yitzhak, which was held in Israel. Currently, she choreographs, performs, and teaches in Northeast Ohio. Her most recent teaching focus has been in the area of dance history at Walsh University in North Canton and Kent State University Stark Campus in Canton. Caroline is also a Pilates Method Alliance Certified Pilates teacher, a credential which has enabled her to own and operate a successful Pilates studio
