Nick Vogelpohl '13
Theatre Major / Business Administration Minor
Nick has spent his last 2 years at BWU as the scene shop foreman, where he worked on a number of productions including, Titanic: The Musical, Don Giovanni, Mr. Marmalade, Some Girls, Hamlet, Peter Pan, Follies, The Seagull, and Noises Off. Prior to being the scene shop foreman, Nick was a carpenter and worked on numerous shows including, Wild Party, Moon Over Buffalo, RENT, La Boheme, and Miss Elizabeth Bennet. Nick is currently the president of BWU’s student chapter of USITT, was a founding member and first president of the BWU Men’s Rugby Club, and spent 2 years as a resident assistant in North and Findley Halls. Nick has also spent a summer as a sound tech and design intern for the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, in Madison, New Jersey, and another summer as a carpentry intern for PCPA Theaterfest, in Santa Maria, California. Nick was the Technical Director for BWU’s production of The Turn of the Screw as his senior capstone project and was the sound designer for BWU’s production of Hamlet. This summer you will find Nick as a staff carpenter for Williamstown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and next fall he will be attending Yale School of Drama for their Technical Design and Production graduate program.
