Recommended Programs for Study Abroad

Exchange programs or tours led by BW faculty (Option I) and independent travel to a BW recommended institution (Option II) provide the following benefits:

Quality: BW faculty and staff who are familiar with the programs and can recommend their safety and academic quality

Financial Assistance: BW financial aid package is applied to the cost of study abroad (for up to 6 students in each program)

Credit Transfer: Increased likelihood of credit transfer approval

Services: Access to the full range of services from the Explorations/Study Abroad office

Exchange Programs: The options within this category often include the complete multicultural experience of living with a host family

Option I
Travel abroad with BW faculty or attend a BW Exchange Program

Faculty-led Seminars: Travel with other Baldwin Wallace students and BW faculty members in a group study tour. Programs include Discover Iceland, Seminar in Europe, Seminar in Ecuador and more. Students pay current BW tuition, room, and board plus a program fee which varies according to location and length of program.

Exchange Programs (See below): These programs involve an actual exchange of students. BW students study at an overseas institution, while students from the overseas institution study at BW. Each exchange program is limited to six (6) students per semester. Students typically pay current BW tuition, room, and board. Students will receive BW financial aid and all transfer credit earned for pre-approved courses.

Option II
Travel independently with BW recommended institution (See below): Students will receive BW financial aid and all transfer credit for Pre-approved courses. Students typically pay BW tuition, room and board plus any/all additional costs of program.

NOTE: Each Option II program is limited to six (6) students per semester (after the cap has been reached, a student may attend an Option II program: pay the actual cost of the program and will not receive BW financial aid).
