Awards

Each year, the Department presents departmental awards to recognize outstanding mathematics and computer science students.

For the 2009 - 2010 academic year, the Department recognized the following students at the annual Honors Awards Ceremony, during Ovation 2010, which took place on Saturday, May 1, 2010:

  • The J. E. Adams Scholarship:  Kelsey Rife
  • The Toni and Max Dehn Prize in Mathematics: Drew Binkley
  • The Anthony and Patricia Lauria Scholarship in Computer Science and Information Systems:  Mitch Raney
  • The Charles and Elsie Little Scholarship: Konstantin Dinev, Chelsea Law, Nathan Miller, and Kyle Ungur
  • The Dr. E. S. Loomis Mathematics Prize:  Mario Giacomazzo
  • The Lubrizol Mathematics Award: Matthew Ciha and Eric Kaminsky
  • The Sullivan/Schmidt Prize for Computing: Drew Binkley
  • The Robert Schlea Mathematics Scholarship:  Joe Marosan and Kevin Stoll
