Louise Zeitlin

Louise Zeitlin has been featured as recitalist and chamber musician throughout the United States. She has played with the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the Chicago String Ensemble. She is currently Principal Viola with the Baldwin Wallace Bach Festival Orchestra. In addition to teaching at Baldwin Wallace University, Louise Zeitlin is also the Director of the Oberlin Community Music School.  She is a former faculty member at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Carleton College and the MacPhail Center for the Arts (Minnesota).  Ms. Zeitlin is a past board member and Secretary of the American Viola Society, as well as being a founding member, past President and current board member of the Ohio Viola Society. Recent honors include an award for teaching given by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, the Founder's Award given by the American Viola Society and inclusion in the 2006 version of "Who's Who" in America. Ms. Zeitlin’s students have attended all the top graduate schools in the country including The Juilliard School, New England Conservatory of Music, The Eastman School of Music and San Francisco Conservatory.
