Frank Bianchi has taught public school vocal music for 30 years prior to his appointment at the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music as an adjunct professor of music education. High School choral groups under his direction have sung at numerous district, regional, state, and national conventions of OMEA, MENC, and ACDA.

At Baldwin Wallace University Mr. Bianchi conducts and is the founding Director of the 115 voice Baldwin Wallace Men’s Chorus, a chorus that has been recognized as being among the finest collegiate male choruses in the State and one of the first collegiate choruses of its’ kind to include both college students, faculty and staff as well as distinguished community musicians. In the spring of 2012 Mr. Bianchi completed his seventh and final season with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. During his tenure with the Youth Chorus at Severance Hall, the Chorus more than doubled in size and grew to include students from over 50 high schools and communities from 8 NE Ohio Counties. In addition to his work with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, Mr. Bianchi had served for two years as assistant director of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.

Mr. Bianchi is very active as a free-lance choral clinician, choral conductor, lecturer and adjudicator of both concert and show choirs. He has conducted well over 260 honors, district, regional, and all-state choirs throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan and Pennsylvania and has lectured and presented workshops at several colleges and universities on a variety of vocal, choral and motivational topics for both music education students and music educators.   This year he will serve as the Regional Director for the OMEA All-State Choir and conduct honors choirs throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania in OMEA District III (NW Ohio), OMEA District V (NE Ohio), OMEA District X (NC Ohio), The LEL Choral Festival (OMEA District VII, Cleveland-East), Lorain County Junior High Choirs (OMEA District IV), PMEA District IV (Western PA) and the PMEA Regional Choir in Clarion County (East Central PA). Mr. Bianchi also conducts workshops, seminars and lectures throughout Ohio and neighboring States.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bianchi has held several church choir and accompanist positions in the Greater Cleveland area and is currently a free-lance organist, pianist and soloist for numerous churches in the Greater Cleveland and Akron areas.

Mr. Bianchi has held several offices in both the Ohio Choral Directors Association and the Ohio Music Education Association and is a past recipient of the Outstanding Music Educator of the Year Award given annually by the State of Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA). He has received outstanding teaching and distinguished service awards in both Brunswick and Medina City Schools, and was recently inducting into the John Marshall High School (Cleveland, Ohio) “Hall of Fame” where he attended high school. He is an active member of ACDA, OMEA and MENC.
