Fees and Expenses
Students are welcome to attend SMI as either residential or commuting campers. Board is included in the fee for residential campers and includes all meals. Commuters may bring lunch with them, or purchase meals either on campus or in Berea. There are several restaurants and sandwich shops in close proximity to the campus, and a large grocery store is within walking distance.
Tuition includes all lessons and extracurricular events. A limited number of scholarships may be awarded based on the quality of the audition tape. A $200 tuition deposit should accompany the application and will be applied toward tuition. The deposit will be refunded for those students not admitted to the program. The deposit is nonrefundable to those accepted to the program. Payment in full is due by June 15 and no refunds will be made after that date.

Tuition, room and board: $1,600
Expenses for students are reasonable. All admissions and transportation costs are included in the cost of tuition for all campers, residential and commuting. Students like to have spending money for the occasional meal in town, items from the BW Bookstore, or souvenirs.
