Entrepreneurship Minor

Success in today's competitive, economy-driven marketplace requires the use of analytical thinking, innovative practices and creative problem-solving techniques.

Whether your goals include boosting your career marketability, building a business or broadening an existing one, BW's minor in entrepreneurship offers you the building blocks of success.

You'll meld theory with practice as you learn the entrepreneurial mindset, behaviors and skills from successful entrepreneurs in nearby Cleveland and beyond. You'll gain insights from professors whose backgrounds include decades of successful practice in corporate, non-profit, small business and government agency experience.

Students work with business leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs in the community.  For example, the Center for Innovation and Growth, involves students in research projects that contribute to the economic development of Northeast Ohio.  Students work with live business plans in the Business Clinic, helping entrepreneurs in the community create and build their organizations.  BW also has an award-winning ENACTUS organization.

Internships, group discussions, community and corporate partnership programs, and professional student organizations put you in contact with BW faculty and business leaders focusing on today's relevant issues.

Fifty percent of BW's business students pursue graduate work toward an M.B.A. or J.D. within five years of graduation.  Careers related to entrepreneurship include:

+ business owner                    + product developer               + operation manager
