MBA EVENING PROGRAMS

MBA in Management (MBA) - (Core MBA & Management Track)

The MBA Management track uses a systematic approach designed to develop managers who understand the linkages between their organizational domain and the larger corporate environment.  This track is designed from a general management perspective and is applicable across functions and industries.  It is directed to working middle managers from small enterprises to Fortune 500 companies. Coursework in this track includes Financial Management, Project Management, and an elective class that can be chosen from any of the MBA tracks.  This program is available in Berea and at Corporate College East.

MBA, Business Analytics - (Core MBA & Business Analytics Track)

The Analytics track within the BW MBA enhances the broad MBA curriculum with specialized training in a variety of analytical techniques that can be immediately applied in solving business problems and decision making.  The student completing this track will be well equipped to tackle a range of problems in the business world.  Coursework in this track includes two Business Analytics classes and an Applied Marketing Analytics class.  This program is available in Berea.

BA, Entrepreneurship (ENT MBA) -(Core MBA & Entrepreneurship Track)

The Entrepreneurship MBA offers interested students the opportunity to develop, nurture, and pursue their passion of critical thinking and problem solving leading to new venture creation (internal or external the corporation). Entrepreneurs, by nature, live to challenge the status quo, create opportunities for themselves and others. Because all businesses (large or small, for profit or not for profit) start with an idea, this track presents students with a framework for strategy in entrepreneurial organizations, a framework that incorporates new venture emergence, early growth, reinvigoration and innovation in established companies. The track is organized in three distinct classes covering strategy, sustainable growth, finance, and biomimicry.  This program is available in Berea.

MBA, Human Resources (HR MBA) - (Core MBA & HR Track)

The HR MBA track provides students with fundamental managerial and leadership skills that will enable them to understand strategic and operational issues in managing human capital in organizations.  Included is coursework related to compensation systems, employment law, and staffing & development.  This program is available in Berea.

MBA, International (IMBA) - (Core MBA & International Track)

The International MBA track provides students with the fundamental business skills and the global perspective in terms of understanding customers, markets and financial operations.  International Marketing, International Finance, and International Logistics courses are all provided in this MBA Track.

MBA in Sustainability (SMBA) - (Core MBA & Sustainability Track)

Businesses are embracing the challenge of sustainability to develop innovative solutions that better the environment, improve public health and increase profits. The concepts of sustainability have been incorporated in product design and manufacture, supply-chain relationships, marketing, customer relationships and operational efficiencies, such as reducing energy consumption, water use and waste production. The broad concept of sustainability has become a preeminent concern in the 21st century. The growth of human society threatens the future health and well-being of the human race and the natural world in which we live. The MBA track in Sustainability focuses on the key areas that help to prepare students for the challenge of successfully implementing sustainable practices in the business world. The track is organized in three distinct sections (represented by the relevant courses) and elective courses.  This program is available in Berea.

MBA, Accounting (AMBA)

The AMBA provides both the technical accounting and financial skills and the broad functional business background necessary to succeed in this challenging career field. For those seeking to become a certified public accountant in Ohio, the AMBA is a very beneficial vehicle for earning the required 150 semester hours to sit for the examination. This program is available in Berea.

SATURDAY AND WEEKEND MBA PROGRAMS

New! Saturday MBA Program

Beginning in Fall 2015, the MBA in Management Saturday program offers the same curriculum taught by the same faculty as the traditional evening Management MBA program.  However, it is delivered exclusively on Saturdays.  Classes meet alternating Saturdays (eight Saturday per semester) and students have the option of choosing a two- or four-year program.  This program allows busy professionals the opportunity to pursue a BW MBA degree without weeknight class obligations.  This program is available in Berea. Contact Barb Peterson, MBA Coordinator, bpeterso@bw.edu or 440-826-2064.

The MBA in management uses a systems approach designed to produce effective managers who understand the linkages between their organizational domain and the larger corporate environment.

MBA in Management - Hybrid (MBA)

This program is the same curriculum as the MBA in Management (MBA), but it is delivered in a combination of classroom and online environments.  This enables a flexible and team supported learning environment.  It is a fixed two-year cohort program designed to provide the personalization of a classroom program with the flexibility of an online program.  An applied project is included.  There are seven weekend sessions over the two-year program: the remainder of the program is online.  This program is designed for students whose work schedules or other commitments do not permit consistent weekly attendance at evening classes, or who live a distance from the BW campus.

MBA in Executive Management (EMBA)

Executives with significant professional experience gain broader perspectives on charting the future strategic and organizational paths for their organizations and solving the variety of business issues they face.  This 21-month program includes a live consulting project for a northeast Ohio company in the second half of the program.  It is offered on alternate weekends in the fall and spring, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and ending Saturday at 3:30 p.m.  This program is available in Berea.

MBA in Health Care Management (HC MBA)

The BW HCMBA is built on the foundation of a sound MBA curriculum with the added dimension of systematic integration of health care issues and applications. Students focus on developing a wide range of business skills, while exploring current and emerging health care trends. Offered on alternate weekends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and ending Saturday at 3:30 p.m.  This program is available in Berea and at Corporate College East.
